Privacy Policy for LLM Cleanup & Other Google Addon’s

Last Updated: January 12, 2026 Effective Date: January 12, 2026

LLM Cleanup (“LLM Cleanup”, “we”, “our”, or “the Add-on”) is a Google Docs add-on designed to help users format, clean up, and export document content. We are committed to privacy by design and transparency in how the Add-on works.

The short version: we don’t collect or store your documents or personal data.

1. Overview

LLM Cleanup runs entirely inside Google Docs using Google Workspace services. All formatting, cleanup, and export actions happen at your instruction within Google’s infrastructure.

We do not operate our own data servers and do not receive copies of your documents.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

LLM Cleanup does not collect, store, or transmit:

  • Document content
  • Personal information (names, email addresses, identifiers)
  • Usage analytics or telemetry
  • Location, device, or browser information
  • Cookies, tracking pixels, or advertising identifiers

We do not sell, share, or monetise user data in any way.

3. How Document Processing Works

All document processing occurs locally within Google Docs:

  1. You open a Google Doc
  2. You run LLM Cleanup
  3. The Add-on reads and modifies document content within Google’s infrastructure
  4. Changes are saved directly to your document

Your document content:

  • Never leaves Google’s servers
  • Is never sent to our servers (we don’t have any)
  • Is never stored or analysed by us

4. Settings and Preferences

Any preferences you choose (such as formatting options, presets, or table styles) are stored using Google Apps Script’s Properties Service.

  • Settings are private to your Google account
  • Settings are not shared or transmitted externally
  • Settings are not used for analytics or tracking
  • Settings are automatically deleted when you uninstall the Add-on

5. PII Scanning and Redaction Features

LLM Cleanup includes optional tools to help you identify or redact Personally Identifiable Information (PII), such as email addresses or phone numbers.

  • PII scanning and redaction run entirely within Google Docs
  • No PII is stored, transmitted, or reviewed by us
  • Results are applied directly to your document at your instruction

These features are designed to assist you, but you should always review documents before sharing.

6. Google Permissions

LLM Cleanup requests Google permissions only to provide its core functionality.

The Add-on may:

  • Read document content to apply formatting and cleanup rules
  • Modify text, spacing, and table styles
  • Display sidebars, dialogs, and help content within Google Docs

The Add-on does not:

  • Store document content
  • Transmit content to external servers
  • Use content for analytics, advertising, or tracking

7. Third-Party Services

LLM Cleanup does not use third-party services such as analytics platforms, advertising networks, or external APIs.

The Add-on relies only on Google Workspace services, including:

  • Google Docs
  • Google Apps Script
  • Google Apps Script Properties Service

Your use of Google services is governed by Google’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

8. Educational Use and Children’s Privacy

LLM Cleanup is designed to be safe for educational environments, including K-12 classrooms:

  • No student data is collected
  • No accounts or logins are required
  • No advertising or tracking is used
  • Suitable for use in COPPA- and FERPA-regulated environments

Teachers and educational institutions may use the Add-on for classroom and administrative purposes.

9. Data Retention

  • Document content: Not stored by us, so nothing is retained
  • Settings: Stored privately in your Google account until you uninstall the Add-on

Uninstalling the Add-on automatically removes stored settings via Google’s infrastructure.

10. International Users

LLM Cleanup operates entirely within Google’s global infrastructure. Document processing occurs in the Google data center serving your region. We do not operate our own servers or transfer data internationally.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Add-on or legal requirements.

If material changes are made, we will:

  • Update the “Last Updated” date
  • Notify users through the Add-on interface or Marketplace listing
  • Request consent if new permissions are required

  • Safe for schools: Designed for COPPA and FERPA environments, with no tracking or ads.
  • Delete anytime: Uninstall the Add-on and your settings are automatically removed.
